So, your friend says they have the lowest sales, yet the highest returns? How can they have more units coming back than the other brands when they don't sell as many as the other brands? Well, they cost around $120.00, so that would explain why. But hey, an Optima is far more resilient than your average battery, and mine came with a 6 year warranty, so the price is justified.

But hey, if you want your Delcos, Wal-mart specials and other run of the mill batteries, have no fear for I'm always willing to give a fellow Vette owner a jump start.

I have a 650 CCA Champion Auto Stores battery in my 79. The original owner put it in the day I bought the car 7 years ago. It isn't the correct Group # but has been a surprisingly good battery. I've been told that the high CCA rated batteries have the plates closer together and tend to short out sooner-any truth in that???
