Default any interest in nice qual sidepipes?

a friend that owns a custom header and exhaust shop and I will be fabricating some headers and sidepipes this week for my 70 BB, we are debating on making a jig or not to make future sets, we are going to be using 2 1/4 tubes into 4" slip collecotrs with 4" side tubes and spiral baffle mufflers, they will look the same as the hookers but will be top quality with no fitmint problems or cutting required of the rocker trim, Im just looking for opnions to see if there is any demand for a alternitive to the hookers, pricing is yet to be determined and would depend on the finish and material used (stainless etc.) but it should be the same if not less and would include the STS spiral mufflers.......anyone...anyone? ill be able to post some pics next week!

I'd be interested. I'm planning on fuel injecting my 454, so I'd have to research O2 sensor placement before I could commit.

I'd like to look into this someday - but mine is SB for now.
So, I cannot commit to any purchase right now.

What are you gonna do with your 454 ?

I'm right over in Brookline, NH -Dave

We have a set of original factory side pipes for our 69 SB and will be changing out the current under car exhaust with the side pipes. The car currently has headers and would like to see if their is a way to still have headers and use the factory side pipes or if I need to buy a set or the original manifolds and put them back on to use the factory side pipes.

If they are nice quality and comptitive with Hooker pricing, I would be interested in a set for my '73 BB.

I'm interested in seeing the pictures and more details. Coated? Chrome? I saw that you mentioned SS...but not what I'm looking for.

Considering Stahl's side pipes too.

I still want to put sidepipes back on my car but with the LS1, my old ones need to be "customized". Too bad I moved away a few years ago. I grew up a couple of towns west and south of "NH Vette"

Default Side pipes

My 73 SB has headers normal with the rear flaired. It realy beggs the side exhaust treatment. I'm doing an L88 sortta thing with it though so I'd like powder coat white. I'de much rather give the money to a forum member....

I also have Hookers on my '77, they are still good(for now), but I'd be interested in hearing more about them.

2 1/4"???? FANTASTIC!!!!!!

My blown 427 would REALLY breathe well with those. I would imagine, however, that there are a lot of guys who (even with a healthy 454) would find the primaries too big (some lost torque?)... What do you think?

I like the shiny look of the Hooker headers, but I think they're very steep, with regard to pricing... I would prefer ceramic-coated, both headers and side-pipes.

If the pricing is competitive...? Then yeah, I'm IN.
