not sure why - i posted twice about electric window and both were pulled - window in drivers side kept going up faster and faster till it stopped is it the motor or what? thanks happy holiday

The drivers side window on my car quit in the down position. It worked great for 3 years but then just wouldn't go up. Just in time for winter. I have pulled door panels and tested NG. I am wondering before I pull the motor and replace if there is a ground that maybe has broken. It just seems strange that it quit without a warning.
I also need to figure out how to raise the window so I can get at the PW motor.
Any ideas would help.
