Any one have a 275/50/15 on a 15 in rally? If so dose it stick out? Looking to get some drag radials and I don't want them to hit on a hard launch. A pic would be great.
I dont have the size you're asking, but I use MT ET Drag radials size 235/60/15 on Cragar aluminum SS alloys which fit nicely....I thought I would need wider tires, but these bite good enough for 1.60 sec. 60 ft. times & 11.8 ET's on my '69.
Wow that's the time I'm shooting for. I made 390 on a chassis Dyno (running rich) and my Vette weighs 3600 with me in it so it should go 11.80. Maybe I will get the 235/50/15 drag radial instead. To bad they don't make a 255 that would be perfect.

Thanks in advance John
I've seen them on a car with 3.375 backspacing and they slightly stick out.. However - with stock backspacing - they shouldn't stick out
Here's the only pic I have of my Drag Radials on my car (275/60/15). They fit fine, but I had to remove the parking brake bracket because it rubbed with the 4" backspacing

Your set-up seems similar to mine...mine dyno's 375 hp @ rear wheels & 424 ft-lbs. torque....approx 3300 lbs. with me in it...I still need some slight carb tuning, so you should have NO trouble going mid to high 11's with a good launch. Good luck! ( By the way, dont let the tire size number deceive you, the 235/60/15 drag radial is almost the same size as the 255 street radial).
