This is my favorite day of winter. It is the shortest "day". Daylight hours get longer every day starting tomorrow.

Yes. The weather is miserable here in Chicago, too. But, I do console myself every year with the milestone of the shortest day. It is downhill to Spring!

Maybe you think spring is coming soon....for me not fast enough...Its 615am here in Wisc and -8degrees !!! with 6in of snow.
