Try Sanderson headers they are a forum sponsor and are listed on the left of the screen. I bought mine there and they are very helpful. I have block hugger shorty headers, jet hot coated for D port heads. Call them.
Just got a set of Dynomax ceramic coated block huggers, I went with them so that I won't have low clearence problems under the car (lowering the front end )

i am currently running Dynomax and like them...
do you have a model name/number? link?
I really want the extra power of headers. I also want to drop mine a little. I have read where many forum members have headers that drag/scrape in town. I would rather run shorties that have problems. let us know how they fit. TIA
Just curious, If you already have Dynomax Headers, then why the change?
Are yours getting rusty or are you getting ready to do something interesting?
well...i have had the long headers quite a while...
then, a while back i bought sidepipes...
so to plumb them i had to come out of the header with pipe and make a U turn towards the front of the car and then make a 90* turn towards the sidepipe to enter it...kinda funky...
with the shortys i will be able to come down and hang a turn right into the sidepipe...
just a much nicer set-up...
BTW...they are starting to show a little rust at the collectors...
hense i am considering buting black this time so that i can repaint them later when needed...
Hedman side exhaust headers.
These are made to connect to stock 69 sidepipe setup.
You will need a shortg pipe fabricated to go (straight line) to your pipes.
They clear the power steering gear OK, but come close to the
idler arm on the passenger side. You need to run a standard
duty idler arm, grease it up, take off the grease zerk and install a low profile plug.
Signguy, that's exactly what i had to do for my header/sidepipe combo.non of the local muffler shops would so it. so i bought pre-bent sections of pipe. cut them and learned how to mig weld. isn't pretty, but very functional
thanx man...ill check em out...
are you sure they will fit in our cars...???
it says universal...
Not absolutely sure, but I did spend time at Ramchargers in Detroit and after talking to them and using their engine display I felt confident enought to get some.

I have a set of the Sanderson headers. They claim that no gasket is needed with them. They come coated or un-coated and are very well built. I bought them for clearance issues as well. jim
I have a set of extremely nice '84 Corvette Stainless Steel Shorty's that will work on a C-3 They are complete with the air tubes and hot air box covers in 100% condition.Been stored for years.
You will only have to remove the EGR tube from the #8 tube and weld up the small hole for C3 use. They are also a full 2 1/2" outlet. $100 shipped 48, jim

I tried these on my 70 when I re did her. I couldn't get the Left side to clear the steering box. I called Sanderson, and switched to their coated cast headers. I can say that they work and look great. More compliments than with round tube any day. Flow rates are equal to that of shorty round tubes. Price is HIGH though.
