BTW - I'm had my new engine built to almost identical specs to the engine in that car .. I just went with 11.7:1 compression instead of his 10.9:1 and with 4 degrees more duration on the camshaft...
I think I remember that kid commenting that he was running low 11s by slamming the brakes before hitting the end of the track... he didn't want to get kicked out for running too fast
I also remember he was trying to figure out how to pull the front tires. I don't think that would have been a problem without traction.
GS - I think he was using his car on the street, that might be why he backed off the compression and duration. I hope you didn't screw up a good formula....Smilie.
Considering the long duration on my cam - I should be able to run 93 octane if I back off the timing a few degrees. I know people that are runing 93 octane on 12:1 compression engines with smaller cams...so I should be ok.. However - I'm planning on running 100 octane at the track!
