I have no idea what kind of muscle car could possible replace it. The rest of them have metal bodies.

Metal bodies can be good. Building a cage in a metal body is alot easier, tubing is easier.
I personally like the mustangs just as well.

Nothing wrong with owning a car made out of steel.

I have thought about this since I got my 82CE.I have had a little bit of everything muscle car wise except mustang.I mean I've had GTO's Z/28's69-71.Roadrunner 70 4 speed.a couple of big block Chevelles 69-70.I'm sure I'm missing some.Anyway now that I have got the C3 of my dreams any thing else would be a step backwards

I would like to look for another Olds 442. I had a new one when we got married 34 years ago and my wife liked it, she does not care much for the vette. Only problem is that I've spent so much money on the vette, there are lots of new parts that I don't think I will get my money back on anymore. I need something new to get excited about.

Good choice. The Olds 442 was arguably the best all round musclecar produced. It had comfort, options and could still fry the tires with the air on. Oldsmoble was the engineering division for GM. Many features on cars today debuted on Oldsmobiles. They will be missed.
