Default Help! Horn not working

Hey guys,. Bought a new steering wheel for X-mas, but now the horn doesnt work! The contact doesnt seem to get the horn to go off, jsut click click from the contact. Please help me out! It is a 1980 L-82.

With a new steering wheel, I would think that the problem is in the horn contacts with that steering wheel (assuming the horn did work with your original wheel).

This Corvette horn diagnosis paper will at least help you pinpoint the location of your problem.

Not sure about the details of the 80 model, but you could try and pull off the cap and jump the outside contact to the inside contact. If your horn sounds its a problem with the cap or shims and not deeper in the column.
