Default Seeking horsepower/torque

I am seeking more hp and torque for my vette engine. I currently have
the following.

TRW forged flattop pistons (060 overbore)
Edelbrock Performer mainfold
Edelbrock 600 cfm carb
76 cc (stock heads)
mild camshaft.

I purchased a set of Edelbrock Performer RPM 64cc aluminum heads (should be arriving to my door Wendsday according to Fed Ex order tracker)
I also have set of Dynomax headers that I havent installed yet.

I plan on purchasing roler tip rockers. which ratio is best 1.5 or 1.6?
Camshaft: What would be the best choice for more hp and torque? (seeking 300-400 net hp)

Carburetor : 750 cfm sufficient? (fan of edelbrock carbs or Q-jets)
Please comment.

Do yo know what the compression ratio is for those pistons with 64cc head ? You can get a steel shim head gasket to up the compression Flepro part # 7733 SH-1 real cheap a Jegs. Go with 1.6 rockers but you will need to make sure you match the springs. With those heads and Comp Cams XE268 or 270H or 280S cam you will be easy 13's, a real kick in the but compared to what you have now Holley 4779 750 mechanical secondaries is a good choice for a carb

64cc heads with flattop pistons is 10.25:1, with 060 overbore im unsure.
I want 11.00:1 that can probably be achieved with domed pistons.

You should be able to get over 300Hp easily with 10:1 compression. With aluminum heads, you could still run just Premium gas - nothing fancy. I'd be cautious about going to 11:1 though ... may force you to run octane booster or race gas. Just a thought.

And 750 cfm should be plenty of carb for that HP level. Good luck on your engine build.

Hi

I have a very similar set up. 64cc Edelbrock heads and flat top pistons together with the comp cams xe268 cam and headers. I like it a lot and reckon from my dragstrip times and trap speed that it's putting out around 320-350hp at the flywheel.

One thing i would say is i am nowhere near 10.25:1 compression ratio (nearer 9.5:1). One of the biggest factors affecting comp ratio is the deck height, when i measured mine it was about 40 thou (and i am told this is by no means unusual !) This will drop your compression ratio a lot. Use one of the calculators that are available free on the internet to check this out.
Hope this helps
