Interrior Squeeking
Does anyone have a good solution to eliminating the squeeking coming from the plastic windshield pillar trim pieces inside the car? I've tried coating with Lithium Grease, tightening, loosening, etc...
Also have what sounds like a metal to metal squeek in the T-Top latch area.
Desi and Tersian both have good comments and ideas. Solution depends on the location of the squeak. If squeak is behind a trim piece, behind dash, under t-top interior trim, etc., I have used matchbook covers (with matches removed!). They are durable and can be folded or shaped to fit the exact squeak location. They will wedge in tightly.
When I purchased my first new corvette in 1980 the sales person gave me a box of dealer matches and said "you will need these to stop all the interior squeaks". He was correct. I laugh about it now-----talk about quality control issues!---I purchase a new car and the salesman gives me matches to stop the creaks, groans and squeaks--yet I still loved the car!!

Thanks in advance...
I replaced my old t-top latch bolts with new ones that have rubber tips, so no squeaking. The old ones didn't have them. Probably rubbed off over time. You might want to check that. They pretty cheap from Ecklers.
