Default Help with brake change-over

I've decided to go with power brakes on by 69 vert resto and have some questions on the conversion. I'm sure this has been discussed but I could not find any info during a search.

1. Now that the clutch and brake pedals are out for clean up, does the rod that connects to the brake pedal have to be relocated.
2. Will the booster mount to the same bolts as the master cyl.
3. Any additional mods that may be needed for the conversion will be helpful.

Thanks

I almost want to say to just go with a hydroboost instead of converting to the stock style power brakes. I think the only difference is the master cylinder.

Default I've done it!

The rod from the booster and clevis connect to the LOWER hole on the brake pedal.

You will need a different bracket to activate the stop-light switch, which will mount in the upper hole of the brake pedal.

the hole in the firewall will need to be opened up with a file or dremel until its pear shaped. The metal plate behind the fibreglass will be a template for this hole.

The booster mounts in the upper two holes which had the studs for the master cylinder (which you remove as they are just retained with tabs)

You'll need to drill two holes for the lower studs on the booster through exiting nuts in the pedal box.

You'll need to organise a manifold vacuum fitting for the booster.

You'll need to fabricate or buy a pair of new brake lines from the master cylinder to the brake distribution block on the chassis rail.

You'll need to buy a power brake master cylinder...i believe they are different bore to regular brake master cylinder.

email me if other questions,
Good luck,
Joe
