Default merry christmas after all

Well after wiping out a lobe on my new cam while trying to brake it in I reluctantly went about doing yet another cam swap. Luckily I didn't have to touch the heads so the cam swap was pretty basic. Instead of the comp cam this time I went with a crane 278. Except for accidently swapping the old cam back into the car instead of the new cam the swap went very well. (I also broke a 6 inch section out of my fan shroud but I'll deal with that later).
Wether this was the cause I don't know but I did find that the adjusting nut for the valve on the number 7 exhaust (the same one that wiped) was loose and I could turn it very easily. I tried swapping nuts with another valve but it still turns easily. So I double nutted it after setting the lash and broke the cam in fine. Scariest 30 minutes I've had for awhile but no ticking noises (hooray) unfortunatly it started to pour about that time and the rain turned to sleet and the sleet turned to ice and I only got to drive the car a little bit before being iced in. It felt pretty good and I know it will feel even better once I get the carb tuned right.
