Default New Trailing Arms

I had my trailing arms redone by Van Steel a few weeks ago. Vette now rides tight and straight. Excellent job and great guys to deal with also. It is nice to find folks that know what they are doing and care about quality. Thanks again Van Steel.

That's good to hear....post some pics!
Actually, I just wanted an excuse to see a Dark Green '80...they're pretty rare and I love that colour.

Here is a photo of the rebuild arms while still on the lift.

The vette color does not show too good in this photo but it is close.

I can't find my receipt right now, but I think the price was $475 per side for them to rebuild and power coat my arms. It takes a couple days if you want your arms redone and I think they will do it in one day if you want to swap with a set of arms they already rebuilt. They also have an alignment shop close by that they usually use.

Got the poly suspension parts from Van Steel and installed them about a month ago. Got done and went for a 20 mile drive only to hear the rear-end start making noise. I guess that is what I get for letting it sit in the garage for all these years. So, I decided...."while I was at it"....I might as well redo the whole rear-end.

I did an exchange with Van Steel for the trailing arms, half shafts and rear-end and did the swap out over the New Years holiday weekend. Now it is time to do the alignment.....Van Steel does great work.
