My four day journey to replace a simple ammeter starting at http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=980647 is done. the entire dash which was removed is back together but what came apart easy did not go together easy. A/C control did not fit in the shifter plate so had to shim it up and redrill holes 1/10"th to the left. The radio bezel did not match up to the center shifter panel and had to grind holes to fit it. Anyway a lot of stuff had to be modified to fit back and after a cruise I realize the clock which did work does not and the left rear taillight fiber optic does not light up for some reason. But hell with ripping it out again, good enough.
I guess I can now belong to the distinguished non-operational clock Vette owners of America. No biggie as the CD/MP3 player has one as does my watch.

Good Enough??....did you say Good Enough?? That's going to bug you....I see in your future another dash removal to work on those two items.
