Difference between these A-arms? [Pic!]

If you don't see it directly, the main difference is that the shafts are different. What's up with that?
Are they from different years or what is the difference?
I'm beginning to be pretty certain now that this car has been crashed many years ago. The complete front is from an 80-82 except the hood, the t-tops are from an 80-82 too, and so is the rims.
So it seems like if it was crashed and they used parts from an 80-82 to rebuild this one, so I wouldn't not be surprised if this a-arm shaft is different because it is of a later model.
The left A-arm is also less rusty so it seems newer.
I got really suspicious when I saw the alignment shims on the left side of the car, 5 shims to the rear and 1 towards the front.
Seems like my frame has some damage
The re-built upper arms have the same design shaft...
you would think that during a 'normal' front rebuild one would re-place both sides..... to me it seems this one got replaced due to an accident....
This is not necessarily as bad as you may think, maybe (hopefully) the repair was done correctly and everything is straight...
If anyone regocnises (sp?) either of these shafts, please reply and say what year they were mounted!
A few replys of that kind and the question might be solved.
the shaft on the left side looks original, I don't know if there were any changes over the years, it looks just like mine on my '79...
