After getting some help from some great members on this forum, I was able to install my serpentine pulleys last night. I ordered the belt this morning and it will be in tomorrow. So I think I am just about ready to go, but I would like to check the alignment of the pulleys to assure that the belt will not slip. Any suggestions how I could check the alignment to assure that all the pulleys are installed correctly before installing the belt?
Well... Normally if the belt is the right size just slap it on and see if it throws it at you.
Besides that, I dont know about the alignment of the serpentine setups. The cars I have worked on have had different width pulleys so the old straight edge test doesnt work...
If it runs and doensnt throw it off when you romp on the gas, shut it down and check to see if the belt is hanging off of any pulleys.
Once it is on, what should i do? Just "eye" it?
Thanks,
Joe
Yep, put the belt on and look across the pulleys. All of the pulley faces should be in line and parallel with each other. There isn't any adjustment, so if anything is off, then one of the parts isn't correct or has a problem.

Just bump the motor a couple times so it finds its own path... It will settle in to where it wants to run.
