Vortec or Summit/Dart heads?

I just ordered the SUMMIT heads and a Crane PowerMax 268 cam. I played with DesktopDyno, and the vortecs made a little more power above 4000, but the summits were better below that. The crane cam was within a couple hp of the comp XE-262, but has a wider lobe angle so it should idle better. I got Fel-Pro .015" head gaskets so the quench is about .055", helping gas milage and detonation resistance. Here's the DesktopDyno chart with stock manifolds and intake:
It's not race motor, but it should work well with my 3.08 gears, as I cruise about 3000 RPM on the highway. It's also about 75 more HP than the L48 at 5000RPM! Joe
