high flo cats have been around for a while. dyno max makes a good one. with the exception of the 70, early 80's stuff, cats are really not all that bad. its more myth than reality. like batteries on concrete, its just not true! albiet for a race car, im sure they suck. but for the street? who knows? but go ahead and get hi-flow cat, as long as you THINK its working, its working, RIGHT??! luckily in md. we dont get inspected if we register as antique, or street-rod. i could run open headers as long as i didnt get caught for making noise
I had Walker hi-flow on my 89 IROC and I have them on my truck. Don't think they take much power away. Surely there is some tesing out there somewhere?
You would think so, but i've never seen it. Very common in CA for people to have a "smog" system that they hook on to pass inspection and their daily system which is a lot like straight pipes. I'd love to have a system that would pass smog testing but could leave on all the time.
