Okay I know where to get interior Dye and that it is done all the time the question I have is if you go from a lighter color (tan) to black is there any problems with bleeding or rubbing off on your clothes?

no..... if anything it flakes off if surface is cleaned correctly....should not rub off.....
I'm in the process of doing mine right now from light blue/grey to black. I have a couple coats down on most of the pieces, and so far no flaking or chipping. Mine's vinyl as well. I'll probably end up going over it all once more just for good measure

What do you mean by hand ?? like applying with a paint brush ? I sprayed mine,,, the results are quite remarkable, don't know about paint brush methode...
I did brush mine and it turned out really nice. just be sure to tape off anything you don't want colored. The dye will eat into anything plastic before you can wipe it off.
What about going from a dark color to a lighter one? My t-top panels are a dark blue and I need to dye them camel. Does it take more coats than it normall would otherwise? Any problems losing the grain detail?
