Its been 2 years since i had my front springs out,and because of the front ride height i think they may not be seated properly. I forget just how much has to be removed. Can you remove the shock, and just the lower balljoint and get the spring ou???? I can see the top part of my spring is not centered and is rubbing.

Yes, you can. Removing the lower A arm is not necessary.
Wih a spring compressor shoved up the shock hole and honker down on the spring a little, along with a pry bar, you could also pop the spring into place without taking it all apart.
I put the compressor up in there and catch the spring a little off-center (using a square steel plate on the bottom of the a-arm over the shock hole). By grabbing the spring off-center and compressing it and puts a little curve in the spring. Then I take the pry bar and with a little wiggled and get it to pop into place.
I really would like to take the spring out, repaint, and reseat. Have done this before without a spring compressor but could someone give me a step by step as how to do this again???? Think my memory is going or im just getting older and dont want to get hurt.
