Header Removal
68' 427 4 Speed
Went to take off the headers to send off for coating
Passenger side came off pretty easy. Drivers side is stuck
Removed Alternator and bracket, removed plugs.
Looks like steering box might be next. any other experience for getting drivers side header off? 4 Speed so the clutch rod is in the way too

i had to tip my motor and pull my clutch z bar before i could get the driver's header in. a real pita. I have pb, that made it even more difficult. You're probably gonna have to pull that driver's motor mount through bolt and unbolt the tranny mount and stick the jack under the motor and lift it a bit. I dread the day i ever have to remove a header.

i885744 is correct. I had to do this on mine when i swapped out my old rusted out headers for new ones.

Have not had to remove a Z bar before.
anything unusually tricky?
Guess I'll climb back under tonight for PART 2 of this adventure I had not planned on. It always looks soooooo easy on paper!

The Z Bar was very easy
2 pins, 2 springs and one nut
BAMM
Headers are off and boxed for shipping
The drivers side dropped right out
