Default Head light alignment

When I try to raise my head lights the left side one comes up perfectly, but the right side come up halfway up. It's not a vaccum leak. The headlight is not alignment correctly. Can some one help me, and tell me how to alignment it right?

Here's a pic:

Corvus on the rods the assembly pivots on there are some lock collars. You must loosen the collars (allen wrench) and slide the assembly in the direction you want. It looks like the assembly needs to go to the right. What I would do is loosen the collar on the side it needs to move to and adjust the assembly. Once you have it positioned tighten that side. Go to the other side and loosen the collar and move it out and retighten. As far as forward and back adjustment I want to say there are bolts on the side of the assembly that move the pivot point forward or back.

Your headlight looks like it does need to move to the right. However the reason it may be hitting the body is because the fiberglass above the headlight and below the hood is comming loose from the metal bonding strip. My paint is chipped just like yours is. I dont know how to fix the problem. I have been having to just pull the headlight switch and run to the front of the car and hold down the peice of fiberglass that is sticking up abouit 1/8th of an inch more than it should so it can move up freely. I dont know if this will help or not, I just recognized you have the same problem I do.

If the headlights did not get bumped or messed with, its possible that either the side plastic bushings or the headlight door pivots are worn out. They also could be just Corroded and are binding. If adjustments dont work you will have to remove the assebbly and check on the bushings and pivots. The bushngs are cheap and come with the support housing, the pivots are part of the headlamp door. I have had good luck with repairing corroded pivots useing Marine Tex.

Sorry I don't have any pics and I'm outta town right now. The assembly sits in a housing for lack of a better term. If you raise your headlight look for where it pivots on each side. On the inner side of the housing is where the rods (short) are. There is a collar that goes around the rod that is about 5/16 thick. There is only one allen per collar so you might have to look for it in the collar. Make your adjustment to the right with the door closed. As far as the forward back adjustment the bolts that hold the (pivot bracket??) are either inside or outside the housing. Make your right adjustment first with the collars. Once you have that centered then do the forward back adjustment.
