Default My Vette was wet

It is about 70 here right now. I went out to go for a short ride and took the cover off. Everything was just wet. The wheels, tires, inside and even the steering wheel was wet from condensation. Went for a short ride to dry everything off. Came home and even the garage floor was wet. This weather is crazy. It is going back into the 30s this weekend.

Its is all caused by those hot rod corvettes you guys are building.

Glad you were able to get it out and drive it.

You are now a candidate for frame rust. I hit rain twice in my 17 years with my 1979. Blow-dryed the frame with the Wife's hair dryer. All turned out well. You have to watch these near misses!

Usually it is on the cool side this time of year, but was in the low 80s today. Big West to East storm coming tonight and then temps in the 50s. for the weekend.

My car is staying in the garage at least until next week.

Come on, your garage is warmer than mine.... .... maybe it's the new wheels and tires causing all the heat in there......

That's why I heat my garage to a constant 50 degrees. It's cheaper to do that then repair the damage caused by not doing it.

How do you people wash your car? do you have a source for that elusive dry water that I can't seem to locate?

Condensation is a very real problem. It's a lot different from washing the car or getting caught in the rain. Condensation will occur everywhere, like inside the gauges and engine, in the seats, under the carpet, the list goes on. The only real way to stop it is keep the surfaces warmer then the dewpoint of the air...

we just don't get our cars dirty enough to where it involves water to wash them.

I don't mind it gettig wet I was just saying how damp everything was from just sitting in the garage. My tires actually had water beads on them from just sitting. The wheels had water on them also. It was a very humid day here and the temps went up so fast eveything just got condensation on it. A short drive dried everything out. Makes me want to put heat in the garage.

I'm going to run right out and check for water beads on my tires. Oh wait, I made it to the thermometer and it says 28 below zero. Maybe there is no condensate right now. The air temp 100 miles west of here in Aberdeen is 35 below zero, wind chill is 54 below zero. Now that's cold.
