Default center console carpet glue??

Installed the new floor carpet. Now doing the center console on the fiberboard. How do you guys install it? Must be glue right(and staple)? What brand glue. The old carpet on my kick plate was stapled. What do you recommend?

I used carpet adhesive from home depot to re-do mine, and held up great. also had to re-cut my fiberboard because my pieces were cracked

I made new fibreboard pieces using the old ones for templates and then used contact adhesive to glue the carpet to the fibreboard, no need for staples. This stuff is very strong and you have to be very accurate when attaching to the fibreboard, you have no margin of error nut the finish is superb, once stuck it never comes off. Just take your time and it will be fine.

I used contact adhesive to glue it and did well. To put in right you can do it just like instaling counter top ,put conctact ciment on bought parts and when it dry just use 1 inche strips of carboard use as many to raise the carpet so it don't touch the panel ,when you have fitted the carpet just removes the stripes one at the time so this way you are sure it will fit perfecly .No staples .

Only had to use staples on the plastic seat backs. If you use staples be sure to use real narrow ones or you will see them. Home or commercial Carpet installers use them.
