Engine origin and detail ??'s
Hello All,
I was told this would be a good place to ask a question. Please forgive me if I am in the wrong place. I've only had the priviledge of owning a corvette engine never the whole car.
Anyway...I have a 454 and I am trying to find out where it came from, year, hp, etc. If any of you can help I would greatly appreciate it.
The casting # on the block is GM11T, the one on the heads is 886781. If you need any other #'s please let me know. Or if I need to go ask somewhere else please let me know that too.

There is a machined pad that juts out from underneath the passenger side cylinder head. Usually, there are two sets of numbers on it. Post those numbers and we can tell exactly what you have UNLESS the block has been decked and the pad has no numbers on it.
