I'm one of the 11 bids. Living in the area, I decided to go take a look at this hood. Afterall he was saying it was an "orginal"
Although I'm sure this seller is a nice man, he is totally misrepresenting the hood. First of all there is no air chamber. Secondly, it is the long style hood. It may have come off of a 69, but this is totally an after-market hood!
I believe if it was an orginal 69 hood it would have come off of an L88. As these were the only cars that had this style hood (short style) from the factory. GM may have sold these hoods for awhile after 1969. I don't know???
Nonethless, if this is what you are looking for in a hood (long style) it is in really good shape.

GM did make a L88 hood for 69's It was a short hood and had a cold air chamber, they are a rare item today. The problem with most aftermarket hoods is getting them to fit correctly, I tried a couple and gave up. The edge does not match the fenders so you have to do some glass work to make them match.

Certainly not "original" but would be nice on my '73 - and allow me to run a high-po intake manifold! By "inserts" I guess he meant the chrome trim pieces up front. It sold for $465, bot a bad deal for the winner. I guess he can buy the air chamber from a supplier and be in business....
