cog belt drives or use 2 V groove belts w/ deep groove pulleys on all accessories.....as far as I know. I have deep groove pulleys and 2 belts on the water pump, in case one fails. For power steering I have just 1 belt, same for alternator.
I've always liked the cog belt setup of those race mate alternator/waterpump combos, too bad they're so damn expensive and not high amperage. If you don't have a lot of accessories and only lights & engine to run (no radio, power windows & such) the racemate may be a very good choice.
olde tyme V belts had to have deep pulleys to keep from tossing about 6 grand at the drags, for instance, I think NASCAR may still use them, about the only ones that do, if any...

Hmmm
I am gonna have a power steering pump, alternator, water pump.
As far as things drawing power. Radio, 3 electric pumps, and an electric fan, various dash lights, and a heater fan. Maybe a fan on an oil cooler.
I use my "stock" LT-1 deep groove pulleys with a smaller diameter billet aluminum crank pulley to reduce the water pump speed to 100% of crankshaft speed and it works well to 7500 RPM.
