Hello, this is the middle section of a '68 engine wiring harness. I am wanting to know what each one of these wires connects to.

As you can see, I have the assembly manual, but the picture is bad and it has a note that revisions were made.

I'm not positive about the 68 harness, although it does look similar the one I replaced in my 73 about a month ago (just less wires).

As you seem to understand, the wide plug with multiple wires connects to the the wiper motor.
There should be two wires (one black, and one a lighter color) with flat connector (that will fit over a lug) that will connect to the positive and negatives sides of the coil.
The other two wires (with round push in type connectors) should connect to the front of the wiper motor assembly, I believe they activate the windshield washer pump.

When you pull the old harness off you should start at the starter and work your way back towards the big fuse block connector. put a peice of tape on each connector as you remove it and write a description of the device it was connected to.
When installing the new harness start at the fuse block connector and work your way back towards the starter, use the old harness (with all the tape and notes) as a guide for hooking it up.
I would also suggest you get a good wiring diagram specific to the 68 before you start changing it out though just to be sure.
