Default Show car accessories...

This past weekend I participated in the World of Wheels (got 2nd place in my class - Sport Domestic...pretty proud of that!). Anyway, I have a vert and, in order to really see the interior, I kept my door slightly open. I noticed that alot of the guys that did this had stainless steel "door stops" that hooked to the door latch on the door and the other end to the latch on the body...it kept the door stable and you could open it any further or close it.... Where do you get these? I wanted to ask but kept forgetting and then the show was over! I thought about making one...one 57 T-bird used a coat hanger ....Any help would be GREATLY appreciated...I had to keep people from "closing" the door ....

i made my stantions outta 2'' pvc pipe.1 end has the cap the other end goes into a plumbing flange that i bolted to a 12'' piece of circular plywood.. i made6 of these and i attatch plastic chain to them using ''s'' hooks.theni made lights 3 sets outta flood lights and par holders and also bolted them to 12'' plywood circles.. also use a 400watt light from a light pole.then there are plexiglas mirrors i bought and had cut into 2' pieces,,so i got 4 outta a 4x8 sheet of mirror,---------

Check out the street rod forums and street rod magazines. I've seen them advertised before. Typically they are just an aluminum bar with machined ends or bent hooks on them. I plan on taking an aluminum rod to a machine shop and have them machine the ends to fit my latches. I may even give it a shot myself with my crude tools.
