I have a very good, thick '80 Shop Manual and would like to get something like it for the '69 L46. I noted on Zip's corvette catalog that they have a '"69 Service Manual" (I think they got the graphic wrong since it portrays the '86 Shop Manual cover). I see that prior years cover all Chevy; not just Corvette. Is the '69 Service Manual helpful? I would like to refer to it when I dig into my dashboard in the next couple months. If there are other resources out there that have equivalent step-by-step reference material, will be glad to know it.
BTW, the 69 Service Manual appears bargain priced at $29 on Zip's site.
Just be aware that in 69 there is a Service Manual and an Overhaul Manual. In 80 they came as 1 book. The Service Manual is generally better for "light" repairs, but you really need both. Wiring diagrams are in the Service Manual (and Assembly Manual).
Sounds like I need the Service Manual, Assembly Instruction Manual and the Overhaul Manual. I'll try to get all three at the NCRS meet in Olde Town, FL (Orlando/Kissimmee) this Saturday.
