My reservoir has a crack in the bottom of it and want to replace it. I have looked at trying to get it out for some time and short of taking off the fender I have no idea how to remove it. Has anyone taken one out and if so whats involved.
I disconnected my '77's by reaching under the fender and working by feel. Putting it back in place was not fun. I have to do it again, to, and the GM replacement washer pump seems to have quit working. Again.

i just did this by sitting in the engine compartment when the engine was out...so if your arms are double jointed and real flexible you may be able to duplicate this, with the engine in...the backside bolt is accessible by putting your arm in behind the brake booster and fire wall and using a ratchet with a along extension on it...to put it back in simply tape the bolt to the socket. the resorvoir has a cut out indentation on the back side....where the bolt is....i also had my son reach up through the vent hole in the fender and slip the tubing on the pump mechanism....
You might be able to remove it from below, by removing the lower splash pan that mounts behind the wheel. Then remove the vapor canister, then the washer fluid tank. I r & r'd my vapor canister that way, and as I recall, there was plenty of room to get at the fluid tank as well.
