THe C4s use a rack and pinion and I'm pretty sure that the length is substantially different. What would be the advantage?

A C4 column will fit in a C3. All of the attachment points need to be changed (at firewall, new column support bracket, etc). C4 columns aso use a double D shaft and C3' are splined so you will need a new rag joint. The biggest challenge is wiring the ignition switch and other stuff (wipers etc.). The wiring isn't so bad but finding the connectors from a C4 harness is difficult. A C4 column with wheel (from a 94-96) is actually slightly shorter than a C3. An earlier C4 column is slightly longer.
