The headers are actually cheaper than the chrome right now, well, until you probably add the extra shipping charge it has noted. But the tubes are $140 or so more.
I went with JetHot, but that was also before I knew they had SS. I don't know which I'd of picked had I known about the SS. For those with the SS have they turned blue at all? I heard they would turn blueish. I haven't installed the JetHot side pipes yet, but I think they are really nice and I'm glad I got them rather than chrome.

When I check and submit the number at summitt.. says out of stock 2/14 expected.
I go to the Hooker website and look at the numbers and it is no longer listed.. Only item # 2234-HKR, and the pipe number starting with a 6 if I recall. I don't know it they changed the part number or not.
I need a bung for O2, so if I get coated will need to be special order as can't weld one in aftercoating.
If anyone knows the difference in part numbers, chime in.
Just went to Summit Site and see the difference in description. Price difference on the two: 2224-3HKR and 2234-HKR is neglegible
The bluing also concerns me with both s/s and chrome. Have the bluing on bike......Anyone with these have experienced the bluing... and s/s should hold up?
How do the Jet Hot coatings clean up when bugs or tar chunks are stuck to them? I have the chromed pipes and can use #0000 steel wool to them to get nasty baked-on stuff off. I wonder if you can do the same to the Jet Hot coating without scratching it, and if not, how do you clean them?
I like to use the products for cleaning ceran cooking ranges, works pretty good. For the tougher things, I have something called Goo Gone or use thinner(melted plastic, etc).
From: Who says "Nothing is impossible" ? I've been doing nothing for years.

Yes you can use 0000 steel wool I would try MOthers aluminum polish first though
As far as the O2 bung comment. I also need one and really didn't know it until after I ordered the pipes since I decided to upgrade to EFI after the fact. So I called up JetHot and asked for advice and he said since what I was doing was a custom application and didn't quite know how I wanted to position the sensor in the collector (I hear its a tight fit around the frame with an angle so you can't clearly see the sensor from the side view of the car), but he said it would be best to install the pipes, then install the O2 bung, and in the future I could send the pipes back to get recoated. He said that the coating can be ground off where the bung will be and then welded without affecting the rest of the coating.
I see Hooker has black (cheapest), Coated, or chrome (most expensive)... I don't see stainless either... In regards to stainless, do you mean the chrome?
Yah... I still cannot find the stainless set. Must need a voodoo browser.
