umm. . .how's the rear window desfroster work on a 'vert?!
beautiful car!
It was a blower. No not a 671 blower, but a fan that blew hot air on the rear window. Never seen one on a Vette but I have seen one on an old Camaro vert.

I have some sort of pneumatic relay going to a vent "astro ventilation" I wonder if that helps uncloud the plastic window.
What's so great about it? It has exteremly low miles, other than that it's not that great a color and no one gets to enjoy it!
It's a waste...
So your telling me if you buy that car you are forced not to drive it becuase the original owner didn't drive it? Common guys think with your head for once. Simply put this guy did a frame off. Means he has between 65-80K invested and wants to get back soem of his time/ effort and blood aqnd tears he put into that car. Some rich fool will buy it. If I was rich I would and I'd drive the living shiznit out of it and enjoy it. Truely it is a beautiful car, forget the owner and his lack of driving it stuff. That's his issue not yours.

I meant that since it has hardly any miles on it that it hasn't been enjoyed up until this point! ...and why would someone then start driving it everywhere considering it's valuable BECAUSE of the fact that it has low miles and the next owner probably bought it for that reason. Why not buy a Vette with more miles that you can enjoy AND you didn't spend a mint on!?!
A few years ago one of my neighbors had a yellow 66 big block convertible with side pipes and knock offs. He drove that a lot, even occasionally to work (he had a good parking arrangement). I think he sold it for $60 or $70 K. No reason a yellow 69 big block convertible with side pipes can't go for $65K. Joe
He'll get that price from someone. If you ever want to see some high (and higher) prices, try the Mecum auction sometime. I couldn't believe what some of the cars were going for. Last year I saw a 60 go for 85K. It looked like a washboard when you looked down the sides. Obviously someone did a hurry up job to get it to the auction in time. That is a beautiful car. looks very straight and correct.
I wouldn't be afraid to dive it.If I paid that much for it I'm getting my moneys worth and drive the crap out of it.But I'm 55 and my driving the crap out of something is not the same as some of the younger members.I used to be one I know.
If that car went to Barrett-Jackson, as stunning as the engine/convertible/color combo is, it would not at all suprise me to see it bring $80K or higher. Now, if this was a base engine roadster then I'd say
