Default LT1 Intake

I was wondering if someone could answer this question. Would an LT1 manifold and holley 780 be to much for a stock 71 350 270 HP engine and would the combination fit below the stock hood?

Along with the above I would replace the ignition system to a breaker less system.

Thanks

It should be fine for the engine but will not fit under the stock hood. That was the reason the LT1 got the BB hood. It needed the room. My hood only has about 3/4 of an inch clearance with the LT1 intake and stock air cleaner.

The question is why? The L48 cam is pretty weak, a high rise manifold wouldn't help it. Joe
