Default 1981 corvette radio

I have the original factory radio (am-fm cassette with power antenna)
cassette works fine but sometimes the radio will just quit and all i get is static.
The numbers on the clock will either work fine, not at all,or some will be
missing.
Has anyone had this problem and is there a repair shop that is really
good with fixing these delco radios

It may be cheaper to buy another one. I've found they weren't model-specific, but were available in many others of the same time period.

there are places that you can send your factory radio in .they take out the old internal parts and replace with new updated stuff .stiil looks factory but works and sounds like new.
