sea foam

I was just reading the thread about the MMO and wondered if anyone uses Sea Foam to clean out their fuel system?Iv'e been using it in my vette and it seems to do a good job.Cost is about $7.00 a can I think.

I've used it in my truck. I noticed a slight increase in power but no noticable gains in mileage.

I only pay $3.50 a can though.

I've used it for years on motorcycle carbs, with good results. Beats having to strip them down and replace everything.

can someone tell me what sea foam has to do with cleaning carbs? I am interested in learning something new

I used it in a car with bad gas (water). It got me through that tank.

I also have 2 Volvos and I heard about it on the Volvo forum. They say to put 1/3 in the carb, 1/3 in the oil & 1/3 in the gas tank. It supposed to smoke like crazy after it's put in the carb till it clears out. They say it works...

Just ran some through my Blazer today. The stuff is great. Just pull a vacuum line or pour it in the carb. Suck down a can then kill the vehicle for a while and let it sit. After you start it back up it will smoke like crazy if the carbon build up is bad.
