well guys i tried and tried but i can't seem to get the braided hose to fit inside the fitting. I gave it a clean cut on the hose with it wrapped in electrical tape but it just doesn't want to go inside the fitting. What am i missing besides a few beer and a long night. There must be a trick that i am missing or at least i am hopeing.

the 2004r uses the same drive shaft and slight mod to the crossmember mounting bolt holes. The 700r4 you will have to shorten your drive shaft. Also the first gearing is lower in the 700r4 but i guess that all depends on wich rearend gears you are running and what you want your trans to do. Do a search on here and you will find all the info you need to decide what trans is right for you.I am by no means one to tell you what is right for you but there are allot of poeple here that will give you the right info to help you out. As far as the trans install .... I am still in the stage of removing my old 350turbo. Should have it out today.

I wrap with tape and use an air powered cut-off wheel . This seems to make a cleaner cut.
After you assemble both ends, use a parts cleaner to get all the debris out of the lines. Blow out with compressed air.
