I bought one from a forum member off a 75 chev 1 ton truck. Haven't tried to put it on yet. I've done a lot of research on the internet and they all look the same. The ford looks just like the chevy.
I have always heard that the boosters from late model GM 1 ton trucks fit best. I got mine from a '91 Chevy 1 ton, and it bolts right up. I don't have it installed yet.
Also, the way they sit stock in the trucks is the hydraulic lines are on top, but you can turn them around where the lines are on the bottom for a cleaner look.
BTW, we have a 2003 GMC Safari van, and the booster in it looks identical to the one I pulled from the 1 ton truck.
I guess certain ones fit and work better than others. Which is the preferred scrap heap model?
Also is there a turbodesiel out there that still uses liquid intercooling?
I have bought 2. One from a 83 and one from a 94 and both were the same.
Externally the 1/2 ton and the 1 ton are the same but internally the 1 ton is a larger piston and more pressure.
Looking for an air to water cooler? Remember, for those you need a pressure switch & a pump as well and the liquid is cooled by a water cooler (radiator).

Thanks guys
Twin turbo - I like the properties of a Liquid to air intercooler, if i can find a couple from a wrecked turbodiesel or something so I dont have to shellout a couple of grand for a aftermarket one I will be happy. If not I think a pair of stock eclipse intercoolers will do fine if I want to stay air to air.
