And, BTW, the Permacool can be either a pusher or a puller, depending on how you wire it. Puller (behind the radiator) is more efficient.

I'd love to install a pusher in front of my condensor. That would help drop A/C temps. But there is NO ROOM! The headlamp vac cans infringe on the side space and the hood cuts in on the clearance when it's tilted up.

Make sure you use 2 relays on dual fans, though.
Why do you suggest dual relays on dual fans? My installation instructions came with wiring diagrams for either single or dual fans using the same relay. It seems to kick them on and allow them both to run just fine. I am curious if I'm getting enough CFM out of my fans though.

Volvo dual stage fan with BMW dual temp switch. Clears my spreader bar on a 78 and keeps my 383 around 210.

And Volvo relay makes wiring it up really easy.

I have used a 2004 Ford Focus fan I got for $99 new. It has 2 fans on it. I run 2 relays. The car stays right at 195. I run a 383 10.8:1 comp. and a 160 stat

I haven't mounted the relay yet. I just pulled it into view for the pic. Need to clean up the wiring as well.

This is my Permacool setup on the stock 79 radiator. They are both 10 inch fans and as you can see they are mounted as far to the right as I could get them. This avoids that LH upper control arm and when it's installed the fans set pretty much dead center of the car.

The previous owner of my car had a set up like this on the car, he didnt drive it much because it would over heat. I replaced the fans without a shroud with a set from a 03 focus and the car stopped over heating, but was still to warm for my liking and the e fans never shut off. I switched to an alum. 2 core radiator that came in the box with the car and the coolant temp now will get below 180* on the interstate with 160* T-stat.
While this is acceptable I want to repair the AC on the car and fear the focus fans wont have sufficient cfm, so I picked up a Taurus fan and a Volvo fan to see which i like the install of better. Plan is have the ECM and AC kick the fan on low when needed and high will be a toggle switch I hope I never need to use.
