Turn Signal Short
We just started having an intermittent short in the turn signal. We replace the fuse and it will work for a while then the fuse will blow. Any ideas where to start looking and how to trace this? The emergency flasher still work after the fuse blows.

First place I look is at all four bulbs and inspect very closely for a filament sagging onto another. If your side markers also blink then check them as well. Then make sure the sockets are clean with good contact. Does the fuse blow at right or left turns? That might narrow it down. Good luck.

Found the problem it was not the turn signal but the backup light which runs on the same circuit. The wire down at the switch on the transmission had shorted against the sheild protecting it. So it would only short when I went into reverse
