Default 69 427-400hp Cam Question

Can anyone tell me what the stock grind of a 69 427-400 hp cam is? Also where can I get one?
Thanx Mark

There are three GM part numbers for that cam. The most recent number is 12364055 the other two are 3904359 and 3883986. The cam is a mild street performance hydraulic lifter cam with 214 / 218 (I / E) duration at .050 lift and .461 / .480 (I / E) lift. Info came from "Max Performance Chevy Rat Motors" by Ed Staffel. You can probably get a duplicate vintage cam from Crane or Comp Cams although I don't know that for a fact.

That's a very mild cam- not a bad thing if that's what you want. But you can make quite a bit more power without giving up good street manners by going to a more aggressive aftermarket cam. If you want, hit me up for specifics on a Crower hydraulic flat tappet cam that took me to a 12.41 ET in the 1/4 mile but was still very friendly for everyday use.
