What would be the advantage to this mod? Think the spring rates are fairly decent for the aftermarket composite springs..

At a car show I saw a C3 with a composite monospring, the owner told me it was from a C4.

He said the ride & handling was improved.

I figured I would check the forum to see if it was possible but I forgot until now.

Maybe Tony from VBP will chime in on this. I'm not sure.

CF,

If it's a GM factory spring I imagine it can be done but the rates in comparison to ride height is much greater than on the C-3. I think that you would have ride height issues and have to use longer spring bolts. If it's one of our springs we do a custom mounting for drag racing but the rates are much higher than normal use in a C-3. So yes, It can be done.

Not trying to be rude in any way shape or form....but, why bother with the conversion when there are kits available to get the job done right the first time....AND with little or no frustration on your part?

Believe me, I understand that cost can always be a motivating factor in anything we do, but I think you'd be a ton happier if you got the right hardware right off the bat. I just hate seeing a guy get frustrated! Best of luck whatever you decide to do!
