I have another thread going about my search for a 71-73. I looked on eBay and found a really nice one that I'm interested in, only I live in Virginia and it's in Fenton, Michigan. Is anyone in the area that could maybe take a look at it for me? Let me know how it is? It looks nice in the picture, but I have zero Corvette experience and if someone was local I'd really appreciate you taking a gander. If anything, it looks like a nice Vette just to go out and look at.

He took a picture of the trim tag and called it A "vin. plate". Maybe if you ask him send you a picture of the license plate, you can get A engine block number:

I can't get up there this weekend before the auction ends, but possibly sometime later next week or weekend if the car doesn't sell. It's about 25 miles away from me. I've never heard of Fenton Family Cars, but then again, I seldom go that direction.

If it has the correct motor in it with the 270 ft/lbs torque rating it is the lo po L48. The way this guy is really over selling the car he is either going to want top dollar or the car isn't as good as advertised. If it were me I'd look for something closer to you, I'm sure there are plenty of nice mid atlantic/southern corvettes if you're patient and look around.

I live 15 minutes from this town, but first of all why would some one say they rebuilt the engine and put the rusty/oily pan back on? his ad is annoying to say the least.

I see it ended at $16,800 - anybody here the buyer? Nice car, but that seems a little high to me.

Nice looking car, but I have to question the body off restoration the seller mentions, the frame looks a little dirty and has surface rust for a frame off and only 10,000 since.
