Default 70 coupe

Im not an expert on c3s but maybe you owners can help. I am wondering what a fair price to pay for a 70 coupe with a/c, ps,pb? Car is probably condition 2 with matching #, and protecto plate and some owner history and maintenance records last 15 yrs. With the bad state of the car market, I do not want to overpay. Thanks

These "whats it worth" questions are tough for anyone to answer. I have been looking on every site out there for about 3 months now. Im looking for a big block but I still get a good feel for the "asking" prices out there. I have seen them from 16K to 29K. I think if the car is really #2 condition its going to be up there around 23K. To get 29K the car has to be perfect. No matter, you still have to see the car , kinda touch it and feel it. Theres so many tell tale signs of what a car is worth when you are right there looking at it. OK thats my 2 cents worth.

This is definitely a tough question w/o pictures. In addition, I agree w/ the comments above regarding physically seeing the car. This is a definite a must and don't let anyone tell you different. Learn the easy way... from all of our collective mistakes!!!

Long story short, depending on condition, the market varies from low-teens to mid-thirties depending on the condition. On the high extreme, a NCRS top flight (or higher) award winner will get you in the $30K range easy for non-LT1 small block. The prices typically go down from there in relation to condition and originality.
