Well it looks like I have to make room for my new toy (Inherited my dads 57 Belair). So the vette must go unfortunately Against my sons wishes I have decided to put my 81 back on the market. So here is what I have:
1981 Chevrolet Corvette 78K miles. A great driver. It has many new parts: New front ball joints, poly bushings, new shocks, new master cylinder, front brakes and calipers, new composite spring, rebuilt rear control arms with spindles and parking brake setup, rear end overhaul with new gears and seals and new tires!!!! Too many smaller items that have been replaced to list. Prior owner started work on the interior with carpet and seat covers. With a little work this could be a great car. It has the original matching numbers 350 engine and trany both have some small leaks (next on my list to fix). Headlights work up and down!! Well over $3000 in parts have been spent. My loss your gain!! Asking $8100 or make a resonable offer.
Forgot to mention that both glass tops are cracked.
A couple of people have asked about things that are not working on the car. He is the list off the top of my head:
A/C
Heat/Air controls have broken vacuum line (Selector does work)
Window seals needs replacing
Door arm rest
Radio (not orginal) and speakers
Antenna
Clock
Cruise
I also have the Carfax report.

One last price drop!!! I really need to move this. I have seen other sell for less but they don't have as many new parts as this one has. I just can't afford to loose to much in the process. At this price, I'm already in the dog house with the better half
I have thoroughly enjoyed the car and I hope to purchase another one down the road

Is the colour original? Most important of all is there any rust on the birdcage?
How much do you think it is to have a shop fix rh AC,window seals, door armrest, antenna, cruise? Thinking of a well known shop that knows their Corvettes
A shop might give you a estimate to do the job and supply the parts?
What do you think the price of 2 new tops is?
I really like the 80 Corvette not counting the armrests. The new front and rear on the 80 is good looking.
Any cracks in the front spoiler?

Is the right side fender missing the inner ledge ? I can see one on this near side. Yours looks like it has been cut off ? Does the air pump work ? Do you have original breather & shrouding & dist. cover ?
