Any particular colour combo you're looking for? Price range? I'm local and come across Vettes for sale quite often. I'm not sure I'm ready to sell mine yet although the old adage is true that everything has its price.
Mine - 28K miles and lots of new parts.

well looking for a nice driver so not willing to go much more than 10-11k right now.
In this economy I figure I should be able to find something pretty nice.
If I find an exceptionally nice car I might go more but well see.

I'd be out of your price range but I'll keep a look out and if I find anything, I'll send you a PM. Good luck on the hunt.

82 Gold Vette
Have you found a vette yet? I'm considering selling mine.
It's gold in color, has rebuilt frt/rear suspension, brakes, cooling system. differential, also have extra parts. Interior needs to be redone. Looking to get $11K out of it. I have a hard time trying to post pics on this forum. If interested I can sent pics by email.

Got a beautiful 81 across the states from you, I also graduated in 82 and was looking for the same year, but when I spotted mine couldn't pass it up, plus it is the last year with the Rochester Carb so that was an added bonus! Great luck with search, I am sure there is one out there with your name on it!

Melting Slicks
If you are looking for a Collector Edition, you shouldn't have any problem, since they made more of them than any other combo in 1982--6,759 of them to be exact! The fact that folks thought they would actually be collectable, meant that many, many of them are available with very low miles, as they were bought, stored and driven very little. For some reason I personally cannot stand the Silver Beige paint, as I have been looking for a regular Silver (only 711 made) for the last several years, but almost everyone lists the Silver Beige as just Silver, so they come up in all my searches. I have seen a ton of really nice Collector Editions with low miles, so they are not hard to find. Autotrader currently has 21 Collector Editions listed right now out of a total of 69 1982 Corvettes listed, so you can clearly see how they out number all the rest. Ebay always has several listed as well, so you are certainly looking in a very target rich environment, unlike me. Best of luck finding what you are looking for.
