I am now currently on the prowl for a small block bumper shark, coupe with A/C preferred.
Convertible not out of the question....but always wanted a coupe shark.
Love the T-top/rear window Targa capability....

Me too....it has quite the pedigree I thought.....
I traded a mid-year for it....basically a body for a motor LOL!

This is going to be one bad *** Vette when they are through.
Can't wait to see it in Fathom Green.....I loved the burgundy though.

The car was in much better condition than anyone realized....
For me to have drove it for over a year and only have the original P/S hose go bad says a lot....
I miss it horribly but my new one is making me feel better..::

And you don't like Macanudos! LOL!!!!!!!

All I can say is wow!

You had a nice canvas to work with.....it really is a hell of a car....it needed exactly what you did to it......

Keep the pics coming......

Did you have any issues?
Excellent work....wish I could have done it myself......
Good to see it back in its original livery......

I respectfully disagree.......it is hard to sell a quality car period these days....

I am proud to have represented a true piece of Corvette history here....

I could have held out.....but needed to make a move.......I was offered a very fair price and we hashed it out for three days.......Danny said to me himself "you drive a hard bargain..." and "you know what you have..."

The car was a time capsule......it was cool just the way it was.....but now it is new again......

BTW....I found my 72' here on the forum as well........
This really is a great place.....

Jebby, but actually that was what he was a driver,,yes he was safe to drive in the condition he was, needed a few items, like body mounts, and rear suspension bushings, camber arm bushings and few other items, but yes a driver, as you know and saw when you install the prior chamber exhaust system that was there, the car was very dirty and years of oil splatter on the bottom from the front to the back and that was good,i rather get them this way than all clean and with a frame and parts that are scaling of rust ,,thanks to that oil leack that it might have had in his early years it saved the bottom from a rusty-scaling frame and parts, its a lot easier to strip a frame and restore it back this way than with rust scales already on it the process is more time consuming and costly (material wise),the worse part to me on this car was the interior of the car, been that it was all original except the carpet, the door panels are original to the car and dated, the seats covers are original leather to the car,the dash, center console and upper pad all original to the car dated, but they were a bit sun faded in a few spots so the whole interior was dye back to saddle and the leather also, new 80/20 carpet and now he is pristine inside again, i'm sure if you come and see it and drive it now you will keep your Macanudos outside and will not dare to smoke them inside the car,,,LMAO,, so you know i'm 50 and owned my first corvette when i was 19 here in south florida, i learned how to work this cars from one of the best known guys here in fl. Mr.D.W, and owner of one of the rares corvette ever produced, and my main objective is to bring them back to the roads as the day they were born, its not "the love for the money is the love for the car" ANYBODY CAN RESTORE A CORVETTE BUT YOU NEED TO LOVE THEM AND FEEL THEM IN YOUR VEINS AND OF COURSE KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING TO BRING THEM BACK.. YOU WILL ENJOY THE PROCESS AND OUTCOME OF THIS L68 AS I GET TO THE END NOW

Jebby,

Watch the for sale cars over a long period, you should find what exposingtime said to be true.
I was not implying you were in anyway representing your car other than exactly what it is, to you. Congratulations on the sale. Surely, it will get the "treatment" with it's current dealer.

THANK YOU MR.WAR BONNET,, YOU KNOW VERY WELL THIS CAR IS GOING TO GET THE PROPER TREATMENT AND DEDICATION IT NEEDS,FROM ME , AS I HAVE ALWAYS DONE, BUT ONE THING FOR SURE I DON'T THINK DEALERS DO THIS KIND OF TREATMENT, ONLY A RESTORER OR A VETTE LOVER LIKE ME, WILL BE ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS OUTCOME ,,, IF I WOULD STAND IN A DEALERS SIDE I WOULD HAVE TO SAY HE NEEDS DEEP POCKETS TO ACCOMPLISH A FINISH CAR LIKE THIS,BUT BEEN THAT I'M JUST A RESTORER THAT LOVES TO BRING THIS CARS BACK AS CLOSE AS THE DAY THEY WERE BORN,ALSO LOVE TO SHARE WITH MY CORVETTE COMMUNITY THE PROCESS OF IT AS THIS MIGHT BRING THERE INTEREST AND PERSUASION ON DOING THE SAME TO THERE OWN, AND OF COURSE SHARE WITH THEM MY FINDINGS ALSO FEEDBACK AND EXPERT ADVICE FROM THEM AS YOU HAVE PROVIDED IN THE PASS TO ME PERSONALLY,I THANK YOU FOR THAT, ,I THINK WE BOTH AGREE ON THIS,
