1982 crossfire Corvette FS or Trade
I’ve been thinking about my next project already so I’m gonna try to sell this one again.
1982 Crossfire fuel injected Corvette.
First the good: I had it painted 96 Corvette Competition yellow in 2004 and the right side was redone in 2012. The interior is a 79 doeskin – light tan. Everything soft got replaced with new parts, Corvette America Seats, carpet, rear compartment and door panels and Ssnake oyl seat belts. Most of the hard parts were replaced with molded doeskin when I could find them. If the factory painted it I had it repainted. I've replace all the suspension with Mike Dyer trailing arms, Bilstein shocks, stiffer springs, American Racing wheels and Nitto 275/50-17 rear and 255/50-17 front, really sticky, tires. The fuel pump was upgraded for higher pressure and when both throttle bodies got rebuilt a fuel pressure gauge was installed. The Hooker Super Competition ceramic headers got wrapped to cool it down some. Flowmaster 50’s are on the rear. It has factory bronze glass t-tops. Tape stripes on the hood are temporary because I couldn’t decide what I wanted painted on and wanted to experiment. The complete list of what got replaced is pretty long and I’m not real sure my wife wants to know how much I spent. It’s a blast to drive at the autocross events and it’s earned a collection of trophies at local shows.
Then the other stuff: It started life Silver over Maroon with a red interior and has 302,000 miles on it. The electric door locks and cruise control don’t work and I gave up trying to fix them. The original engine, transmission and rear end have never been opened, maybe that’s a good thing too. The only thing the original owner did right was stop at the nearest Chevy dealer for scheduled maintenance.
Now the money: NADA thinks its worth between 25 and 14k. I reduced the price to $12,000 and if you really want it show up with cash I can be negotiable. If you think I'm out of my mind for that price come look and tell me what you think is reasonable and we can maybe work a deal.
OR I’m willing to trade for my next project. I think I want a C-3 convertible or big block with side pipes. Rough or project is ok as long as it's still buildable. I might like a boat that isn't for fishing, fifth wheel camper or a C-5/6 corvette that is around the same value. I know that might mean broken and high miles and I would prefer a clear title."
To the guy who came over with magnets and thought the car had a lot of bondo, I'll post your name if you do it again.
$12,000 or make me an offer with cash or trade.
